The leap
Jason did not drift into this work. After the passing of his parents, waiting for someday stopped making sense. He took the biggest leap of his life and turned the thing he loved into the work he does every day.
That decision is still in everything he makes. The camera comes out because the moment matters, and because nobody is promised the time to capture it later.
There is power in a story told honestly.
Why stories
It was never the gear. What pulled him in was the ability to capture people honestly, the moment someone stops performing and starts telling the truth.
Honesty opens the door to vulnerability, and vulnerability is where real connection lives. Every film he makes is built to find that moment.
The work
Today he directs and shoots brand films, commercials, and documentary work from Boise, Idaho. Projects built on trust and craft, for people who care how their story is told.
He keeps his sets small on purpose. A small footprint keeps a room comfortable, and a comfortable room is where the real moments happen.

Taking an absurd number of photos of his twins. Family is why the work matters. It is also, often enough, on set with him.
